Basement on Broadway

As a UWA student, I have been to the Basement on Broadway on numerous occasions and have always enjoyed the steaks there. Saturday night was a prime opportunity to review it. Chris and I wanted to get dinner before my friends 21st Birthday (at Nedlands Yacht Club), so it worked out perfectly.

After looking at the new menu, I soon realised that they had taken away all of the gluten free options. I asked the only staff member at the bar whether anything could be made gluten free, he suggested that only the nachos were. Out of a choice of nachos or nachos, I chose nachos. Now I am a bit of a nacho snob, I like the cornchips to be fresh, crisp, not too much salsa, lots of cheese and lots of sour cream. These didn't disappoint, although I should have asked for it to be prepared without jalapenos. With quick service, accompanies by a nice sparking wine, it was quite enjoyable.


Rating 3 out of 5 (it was just nachos...)
