I was really stressed out because of uni, so Chris organised a dinner adventure to Thai Palace to get my mind off things. It has a prime location, but we were stuck towards the back of the restaurant, so there wasn't really any benefit of it. When I asked about gluten free, they basically said I could have anything made gluten free. I took the opportunity to have teriyaki chicken, since at most restaurants this cannot be made gluten free. The decor was very standard and there was a lot of families and groups, which is to be expected. To accompany my chicken I had steamed rice to share with Chris.
I received a HUGE plate of chicken teriyaki, with lots of meat and no veggies, aside from spring onion and a few small things. This was not an issue as I am not a massive veggie fan, but some would have been nice. The sauce itself was a bit bland. It seemed very watered down and had quite a sweet taste. I think more soy sauce would have made the dish significantly better, to counter-act the sweet taste -since it lacked salt. The meals were reasonably priced and it is possibly somewhere we will go again for a cheap, quick meal on the coast.
